Starting with May 25, 2018, Regulation no. 679/2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as "GDPR") is applicable in all Member States of the European Union.


Scope of application

GDPR applies to website, with the purpose of informing its users about the processing of personal data by VECTOR SECURITY DISTRIBUTION SRL, as an operator, headquartered in Bucharest, Calea Vitan no. 6-6A Ground floor, District 3, registered within the Trade Register under no. What are personal data

Personal data represents any information regarding an identified or identifiable natural person; an identifiable natural person is a person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, especially by reference to an identification element, such as name, identification number, location, online identifier, or to one or more specific elements, its own physical, physiological, genetic, psychological, economic, cultural or social identity.


How we collect personal data

Direct: Usually, we process personal data that you have volunteered provided us:

  • when you contact us to request information about our activity, at the email address [email protected];
  • when you contact us by phone to place an order, to request informations about the products etc., at the telephone number +40 316 301 933;
  • when you subscribe to the newsletter;
  • when you create an account on the website by filling in the registration form.


Indirect: We may process data that you did not voluntarily provide to us:

  • when you visit our website;
  • when you interact in any form with it through cookies;
  • when you create an account on the website using the data of a Facebook account.


What categories of personal data we process

  • Contact data: we collect this personal data about you when you actively provide us with that information, for example when you register to create an account/purchase the products marketed by Vector Security. The data we process are the following: first and last name, telephone number, e-mail address, address/home-delivery;
  • Account data: when registering an account on the website, our company processes the following personal data: username, the associated password with the account, history of orders placed through the website as well as other parameters related to accessing the account;
  • Social media profile: when you interact with our website through different social media networks, such as when you appreciate the Facebook page or when you watch or share your content on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram or any other social media platform, it is possible to receive personal data from those social networks, including your profile data, username associated with the account. We may also process your personal data if you contact us through the messenger service of a social media platform, such data may refer to identity data such as nume and surname, as well as the phone number/e-mail address and any other information voluntarily provided to our company.
  • Data collected involuntarily: IP addresses, time of site visit, geographic location, operating system as well as other technical parameters (including browser type and version, referral source, duration of visit, page views and site navigation). Regarding the location data, we mention that our website does not collect, store or read location information via GPS, WI-FI or wireless internet configuration. We and our third party suppliers collect only an anonymous, random ID to detect the user's proximity to our point of sale.
  • Cookies: we can obtain information regarding your general use of the internet by using cookies. A cookie is a small file stored on your computer's hard drive. The use of cookies helps us improve our website and offer a better and more personalized service, which allows us to:

To the extent that the Buyer discloses personal data of the contact persons designated by him, of the legal or conventional representatives, of the collaborators, of the employees, associates, shareholders and/or of other natural persons to VECTOR SECURITY for or in connection with the development the contractual relationship between the parties, considering that our company does not benefit from the practical way of directly ensuring the information of these categories of persons, the Buyer has the obligation to inform these persons about the processing of personal data, according to the details presented in the contents of this section. The buyer will take measures for this disclosure to be made according to any applicable requirements, including those regarding the information and obtaining the consent of the data subjects, if necessary, so that VECTOR SECURITY can process the personal data for the purposes provided in the contract, without having to perform any formality.


What are the legitimate grounds for data processing

We can base our processing activities on the following grounds:

  • Based on the contractual ground according to the provisions of art. 6 paragraph (1) lit. b) of the GDPR Regulation: We may process personal data in order to execute the contract concluded between parties in accordance with the Terms and Conditions provided on the website.
  • Based on the legitimate interest according to the provisions of art. 6 paragraph (1) lit. f) of the GDPR Regulation: We can process personal data based on our legitimate interest, when, according to our assessment, we consider the processing to be fair, reasonable and proportionate with the processing purpose.
  • Under a legal obligation according to the provisions of art. 6 paragraph (1) lit. c) from the GDPR Regulation: We can process personal data in order to fulfill some legal obligations devolving upon us as legal entity.


Why do we need personal data

We process personal data in a transparent manner, for the following purposes:

  • processing any requests received through the website, including to process your orders and create the account;
  • to communicate our offers and to promote our products and events, in compliance with the law regarding the relations between professionals (legal entities);
  • to evaluate and improve our website, the services offered as well as our relationship with the users of the site.


Do we transmit personal data to third parties

Your personal data may be transferred to third parties, under legal or contractual obligations. We may communicate the collected personal data through the website to third parties in order to improve the quality of the provided services or to benefit from the help of specialists in fulfilling obligations that fall under the specific legislation in a particular field or according to ongoing contracts.

These third parties, in their turn, have similar obligations to ours regarding the protection of personal data, either they are personal data operators or they are authorized persons, who process the data on behalf of VECTOR SECURITY.

However, if for the fulfillment of the goals set by our company it will be necessary to transfer the personal data of our clients to recipients from outside the European Union/European Economic Area or from the states that do not offer an adequate degree of protection, VECTOR SECURITY will request the respective recipients to protect the personal data according to the requirements of the Regulation.

We constantly ensure that our partners provide sufficient guarantees for the implementation of appropriate technical and organizational measures, so that the processing of your personal data will meet all legal requirements.

The personal data indicated above can be disclosed to third parties also in the following situations: (i) public authorities, auditors or institutions with competence in carrying out inspections and controls on our activity, requires us to provide information, in virtue of legal obligations; (ii) to comply with a legal requirement or to protect our rights and assets.


Place and method of storing personal data

Vector Security keeps the personal data that it collects in secure environments. Personal information are protected from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification or destruction by any organization or individuals.

Our company takes appropriate technical and organizational measures in order to ensure the security of personal data, such as access controls, data encryption, transfer with strict observance of confidentiality requirements, etc., according to the security policies of VECTOR SECURITY.

Personal data are stored on the server of the company that ensures the maintenance of the website and of the company, respectively on the servers of the company Hetzner Online GmbH, a company headquartered in Germany. Our company has taken all necessary measures to ensure that the hosting company fulfills the obligations under the specific legislation.


Do we transfer personal data outside the European Union

Vector Security does not transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Union / European Economic Area, but in order to facilitate our operations and in accordance with the applicable law, we may transfer or, as the case may be, allow our partners access from other states, including the United States, in which case this access will be made in accordance with the data that will be updated within the Cookies Policy. Each transfer will be subject to specific and appropriate rules to ensure the protection of personal data.


Data processing of children under 18 years

All personal data processing activities refer exclusively to persons over 18, respectively representatives of legal entities or persons acting on behalf of the legal person.


Dismissal of processing and its consequences

If you do not provide us with the requested personal data, you will not be able to send us the request/order, and we will not be able to meet your requests to deliver your order.

In order to be able to send you marketing communications, we need the e-mail address, so you can receive offers and communications about our services and products.


What rights do you have regarding your personal data?

As a data subject, we respect the following rights:

  • the right to request a copy of the personal data we own;
  • the right to ask us to rectify any personal data that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • the right to require that personal data be deleted when we no longer need it;
  • if processing is based on your consent, a contract, or automatic means of decision, the right to require us to provide your personal data directly from you and, if possible, transmit those data directly to another operator (portability of data);
  • to withdraw your consent to the processing, when the processing is based on your consent, but without affecting the legality of the processing activities carried out so far;
  • in case of a dispute over the correctness of the processing of personal data, the right to restrict the processing;
  • if processing is based on legitimate interests, the right to object to the processing of personal data (where applicable);

The above rights may be exercised at any time. In order to exercise these rights, we encourage you to make a written request, dated and signed, or electronically at the following address: [email protected].

We kindly ask the persons who send such requests to Vector Security to mention either in the subject of the e-mail or on the envelope in which the documents/requests will be sent, information such as "data protection".

Vector Security will analyze your requests and will respond within a maximum of 30 days. If you consider that the answer is not a favorable one, you can contact the National Supervisory Authority for the Processing of Personal Data or the competent court.


Security of personal data

We have adopted technical security procedures to protect personal data against loss, unauthorized use, destruction or alteration. We ensure that access to personal data is limited and authorized only to those who have the right to use it. These individuals have the obligation to ensure the confidentiality of the data.


For what period of time do we keep personal data

We will store your personal data only for the necessary period of time to achieve the processing purposes set out above, while respecting the legal requirements in force.

We estimate that the processing activities detailed above will require the storage of personal data during the following periods:



Data transmitted through the account created on the website

5 years from when the account has not registered any activity

Data collected involuntarily through the website

3 years from the date of collection

The collected data through social media networks follows the above regime, unless the interaction of VECTOR SECURITY with the requestor of the information regarding the company and our products does not end with placing an order. In the latter case, the data will not be stored by our company, unless the applicant unequivocally expresses his interest regarding future campaigns/offers.

In case of data collected for the purpose of fulfilling the commercial/business relations, the financial-accounting supporting documents containing personal data, shall be stored according to the retention period provided by law, respectively for 10 years from the date of the financial year ending in course of which they were drawn up.

Once the processing period indicated above expires and we have no legal or legitimate reasons to process your personal data, they will be deleted in accordance with the internal procedures of the operator.
